We pre-qualify suppliers to ensure our sustainability and environmental standards are consistent throughout our supply chain partners. We hold full chain of custody accreditations ensuring the timber supplied in your kitchens is ethically sourced from well managed sustainable sources with full and transparent traceability back to the source.
Our project based teams receive SEATS training to understand the environmental impacts and how these can be improved when on construction sites.
PRACTICAL AND QUALITY DESIGNS
Our factory HQ has been at the forefront of investing in green processes, minimising toxic emissions by supplying panels conforming to the strict CARB (California Air Resources Board) and European E1 class for formaldehyde emissions. Our factory has moved all standard solid lacquer from solvent to water based technology resulting in a reduction in our VOC emissions by 95% since 2006.
Solar panels have been installed to the entire factory roof, covering close to 1 million sq ft. Combined with modern day energy efficient machinery and manufacturing practices, the factory has reduced its dependency on power supplied from the grid by 4,000 MWh.
Our factory holds the ISO 14001 environmental certification and was the first Italian kitchen manufacturer to be certified ISO 9001 in 1993 and to obtain the even more demanding VISION 2000 Certification. Snaidero was the first to obtain UNI EN ISO 14001 International Environmental Certification and later the SA8000 Social accountability Certification for its commitment towards creating a better, safer, and more motivating company environment.
